Level 80 - Simple Future Tense In Level 52 we learnt how to talk about what is going to happen by using the verb aller 'to go'. This is probably the easiest way to do it, but there is another way to do this in French and it is called the simple future tense. To make it, simply add the following endings (which look like the present tense fo the verb avoir 'to have') onto the infinitive of the verb you want to use, taking the final e off -re verbs:

Exceptions As with the conditional (Level 77), there are irregular stems. They are être 'to be' (ser-), avoir 'to have (aur-), aller 'to go' (ir-), faire 'to do / make' (fer-) and vouloir 'to want' (voudr-). Here are some examples of those verbs in action:
