Level 57 - Devoir 'to have to'

Devoir means 'to have to' ('must') and is an irregular verb. It is followed by what someone must do (a verb). Here is the verb in the present tense:

je dois
tu dois
il/elle/on doit
nous devons
vous devez
ils/elles doivent
   I must
you must
he / she / one must
we must
you must
they must

Examples

je dois aller
tu dois rentrer
on doit frapper à la porte
nous devons manger quelque chose
vous devez vous excuser
elles doivent aller chercher les enfants
  I must go
you must come home
he/she/one must knock at the door
we must eat something
you must apologise
they must fetch the children
